This mode uses a sensor to "look"at the cutter and determine what hand it is. If there are two cutters on the same side of the chain, the grinding head will automatically orientate itself and grind both cutters.

** This mode requires the "Cutter Sensor" to be adjusted to the correct position.

Caution: Check chain for bent or broken cutters before using AUTO mode.

Fit the chain into the chain guide making sure that the hand of the cutter is the same as the grinding head orientation. Press "COUNT" + "INCH REV". The display will show a symbol and the machine will position itself with the head angled away from the operator (right). See fig below.

2. Loosen sensor clamp bracket screw and slide sensor toward the cutter until the LED at the rear of the sensor comes on, then reclamp the screw.
