"0" Degree Top Plate Angle

Note: This procedure only needs to be followed if the head is to be set at "0" degrees for grinding depth gauges. When changing the grinding head from one angle to another, follow the procedure on page 31.

1 Press and hold the "COUNTER" and SPEED INCREASE" buttons.

A " "symbol will appear in the display and the machine will automatically position itself with the bevel cam follower on the highest point of the bevel cam.

2 Adjust the angle of the grinding head to the "Arrow" mark on the protractor by loosening the head clamp.

3 Retighten the head clamp.

4 Press "COUNT" + "INCH FWD" until the display reads " ".

5 Adjust the bevel limiting screw until the "0" on the protractor lines up with the indicator on the motor arm.

To reset the grinding head angle after it has been set to "0" degrees

1 Press "COUNT" + "INCH FWD" until the display shows a symbol.

2 Adjust the bevel limiting screw clockwise 5 full turns.

3 Adjust the grinding head to the required angle by loosening the head clamp. (Angle motor towards operator)

4 Retighten the head clamp.

5 Press "COUNT" + "INCH REV"until the display shows a symbol.

6 Adjust the bevel limiting screw until the grinding head is angled at exactly the same angle on the opposite side of the protractor.
