Calibrating the Grinding Depth
Factory set
The depth of both left and right hand cutters needs to be the same.
To adjust, follow the procedure below. Before making this adjustment check that when the grinding head is set to 0 degrees, it is square, and that the grinding head is angled by exactly the same amount on both sides.
For this example we will assume that the machine is grinding a left hand cutter approximately 0.2mm deeper than a right hand tooth.
1. Press the button combination "COUNT" + "INCH REV"
2. Loosen the grub screw(#150) and rotate the grinding head 15 degrees towards
the 0 mark on the protractor. (15 degrees equates to approximately 0.2mm)
3. Tighten the grub screw(#150)
4. Reset the angle to what it was previously by loosening the head clamp.
5. Press the button combination "COUNT" + "INCH FWD"
6. Readjust the grinding angles as described on page 27.
