Returning module to update software
The Dinasaw Chainsaw Sharpener has the facility to allow you to update the control software as it becomes available. As new features are added to the operation of the machine it is possible to return the control module to your nearest dealer who will update the software to the latest version. (Alternatively, the PC infra red interface kit can be purchased for downloading direct from your PC.)
Removing the control module
1. Disconnect the power from the machine
2. Remove top cover
3. Remove the 4 retaining screws from the front cover
4. Unplug the control module (do not pull on the wires)
5. Remove the control module from the machine
6. Carefully pack the control module in protective packaging to prevent damage.
Using the Dinasaw "Update Package"
1. Connect the Infra red transfer device to a serial lead connected to a computer.
2. Attach the Infra red transfer device directly over the two right hand LED’s as shown.
3. Insert the Dinasaw CD and follow the instructions on screen.
